Workshops are the ideal place to start making mosaics. Not only do you get expert tuition from a professional mosaicist but you will also go home with your first finished piece of mosaic. Most people that have taken one of the workshops listed here have taken to this hobby/craft like a fish to water. Some have even turned professional themselves.

There are classes suitable for the beginner right up to established mosaicists who want to expand their knowledge and techniques. Some are run over a week end, others are a week long, in such places as the Greek Islands or, the home of mosaics, Ravenna.

If you have been thinking about trying this fascinating craft give one of the workshops a try. Our list is constantly expanding. If you would like a workshop of yours listed or you have been to one and can recommend it let us know here at Mosaic Matters.

Most of the classes listed here will supply materials as part of the course and tools can usually be purchased on site. If you have to take your own equipment the text will normally tell you. Please check with the workshop direct to confirm details and bookings, but please quote Mosaic Matters as a point of reference.

Above all enjoy yourself and your new hobby.

We are always on the look out for new workshops to list on these pages.

If you have a workshop you would like listed please send us details.
