The Laurel Studios: Glass Art and Mosaics
The Laurel Studios is a unique location and concept in the Coastal Bend of southern Texas:

A working studio in glass arts: glassblowing ("hot glass) , kiln formed glass ("warm glass") and mosaics.

A learning center for the glass arts and rental facilities to practice them

A consultation and commission studio where people can learn how to enhance their homes and businesses with custom mosaics and glass art work

A gallery of Texas mosaicists' and local glass artists' creations for visual enjoyment, learning and purchase.

The Laurel Studios are located between the Texas art towns of Rockport and Fulton and Aransas Pass, one half hour "up the coast" from vibrant Corpus Christi and three hours south of historic and gorgeous San Antonio.

A summer and winter boating and fishing paradise, the Rockport Fulton area has grown over nearly four decades into a sophisticated art and history center too. The Texas Maritime Museum, the Rockport Center for the Arts and the historic Fulton Mansion draw visitors in all seasons. With more than twenty galleries in the area and the annual Festival of the Arts, Rockport Fulton has as much to offer beyond the fishing and water sports.

The Laurel Studios allows a one-on-one chance to interact with glass artists at work, receive individualized instruction and study glass art. In special circumstances, Laurel Studios rents use of the glassblowing facilities for trained artists as well. The Studios are open by appointment and on selected weekends announced on this website and through "Coastal Bend" newspapers.
